November 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian pawnshop chain operator Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage [BUL:6SOB] said on Thursday that its consolidated net profit edged down to 1.0 million levs ($581,000/511,000 euro) in the first nine months of the year from 1.1 million levs in the same period of last year.
The company grew its operating revenue to 4.8 million levs in the January-September period, compared to 4.1 million levs in the comparable period of last year, Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage said in an interim financial statement.
Total operating expenses increased to 3.7 million levs in the review period from 2.9 million levs the year before.
Earlier this month, the company launched a share repurchase programme targeting up to 72,634 shares, or 3% of the company's capital, by the end of the year, priced in the range 3.5-6.0 levs.
Sofia Commerce-Pawn Brokerage operates a chain of over 125 pawnshops in Bulgaria.
