May 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SGH] said that it is launching a business growth incubator, Sirma Venture Lab, to provide financing support to promising local technology start-ups to grow their footprint on the domestic and international markets.
Under the proposed scheme, Sirma Venture Lab will provide individual pre-seed funding of 50,000 euro ($52,022) to the best performing participants in the programme, with an option for some of them to be awarded up to 350,000 euro in subsequent grants, Sirma Group said in a press release on Thursday.
The business incubator programme will launch on June 20, with calls for applications from interested entrepreneurs due by May 31.
The programme will be aimed at Bulgarian companies with growth potential in the areas of financial or healthcare technologies, Industry 4.0 which comprises industrial automation and data exchange technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing, logistics, tourism as well as the automobile industry.
