October 7 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian pharmacy chains operator SCS Franchise said on Monday that Ventsislav Marinov has been appointed as the company's new CEO.
This step is part of the company's long-term growth strategy aimed at developing a business model which provides an effective access to the business-to-consumer market, SCS Franchise said in a statement.
Marinov has experience as a long-term deputy executive officer in charge of regional expansion projects in Sopharma Trading [BUL:SO5], a unit of Bulgarian drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR], which ensures the implementation of the change that the shareholders of SCS Franchise are searching in the company. Marinov will be responsible for the development of the best business model for the future operations of the pharmacies under SCS Franchise's management.
SCS Franchise's biggest shareholder is real estate company Sredec with a 47.62% stake, while local diversified group Donev Investments Holding controls 46.62% shareholding interest.
SCS Franchise operates more than 150 pharmacies of the chains Sanita, Ceiba and Sofiyski Apteki in Bulgaria.
