January 7 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's defence ministry said on Friday that it awarded three fuel supply deals worth 16.4 million levs ($9.5 million/8.4 million euro) combined to local fuel trader Saksa.
The highest-priced contract, worth 10.6 million levs, is for the supply of jet fuel, the defence ministry said in a notice.
The defence ministry also awarded Saksa with a contract for the delivery of diesel fuel worth 1.2 million levs and a 4.6 million levs contract for the supply of gas oil.
Saksa submitted the sole offer in each of the tenders for awarding the respective contracts. The company's bids were ranked solely based on price.
Saksa is based in Dolna Banya, in the Sofia region. The company’s partners include OMV Bulgaria, ECO Bulgaria, Shell Bulgaria and Naftex Petrol.
