SOFIA (Bulgaria), July 22 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian diversified group Rodna Zemya Holding [BUL:6R2] is seeking anti-trust approval to acquire 100% of Sofia-based HIT Hypermarket, according to competition regulator data. 

The transaction is expected to affect the local food and non-food products retail market segment, a notice, published on the Commission for Protection of Competition's website last week, reads.

Interest parties have until July 25 to submit their statements to the competition authority regarding the deal.

Last week, Rodna Zemya Holding said it has signed a contract with Germany-based HIT Bulgarien for the acquisition of 100% of Sofia-headquartered HIT Hypermarket.

HIT entered the Bulgarian market in 2004. It operates two stores in Sofia, offering a range of food and non-food products.
