June 10 (SeeNews) - Total revenue from tourist overnights spent in Bulgaria in April increased by 9.9% on the year to 51.7 million levs ($29.8 million/26.4 million euro), the statistical office said on Monday.
Revenues from overnights spent by Bulgarian tourists increased by 14.5% year-on-year in April, while revenues from overnights of foreign nationals grew by 6.0%, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement.
The total number of tourist overnights spent in Bulgaria rose 7.6% to 962,700 in April.
The largest increase in the number of overnights, by 12.3%, was registered by four- and five-star hotels which serviced 36.9% of the overnights of Bulgarian tourists and 77.0% of the overnights of international visitors.
A total of 450,700 tourists stayed in accommodation facilities in Bulgaria in April, up 4.3% year-on-year.
