December 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's revenue from international tourism rose by an annual 9.2% to 6.3 billion levs ($3.9 billion/3.2 billion euro) in January-October, the tourism ministry said on Friday.
In October alone, the country's revenue from foreign tourist arrivals increased 6.6% year-on-year to 394 million levs, the ministry said in a statement.
The number of foreign visitors to Bulgaria rose by an annual 7.3% to 8.4 million during the eleven-month period, the ministry said, quoting data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI).
Based on this year's figures, Bulgaria will aim to keep the steady growth and attract over 9 million foreign tourists in 2018, the statement reads.
