May 4 (SeeNews) - The number of residential building permits issued in Bulgaria in the first quarter of 2023 fell by 5.5% on the year to 1,748, the statistical office said on Thursday.
Compared to the previous quarter, the number of residential building permits went down by 8.5%, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement.
A total of 19 permits for the construction of office buildings were issued in the January-March period, up by 5.6% in annual terms and 5.6% more than in the last quarter of 2022.
In terms of other types of buildings, 1,035 permits in total were issued in the review period, representing an annual decline of 3.4%. The number of issued permits was also 12.5% lower compared to the fourth quarter of last year.
