November 4 (SeeNews) - The number of residential building permits issued in Bulgaria in the third quarter of 2019 decreased 1.7% year-on-year to 1,630, the country's statistical office, NSI, said on Monday.
Compared to the previous quarter, the number of residential building permits issued in the July-September period increased by 2.5%, NSI said in a statement.
A total of 23 permits for construction of office buildings were issued in the third quarter, down by 37.8% compared to the same period of last year. Compared to the previous quarter, construction permits for office buildings fell 25.8%.
Regarding other types of buildings, 1,188 permits were issued in the quarter under review, which represents a decrease of 1.6% year-on-year and an increase of 1.7% quarter-on-quarter.
