SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 16 (SeeNews) – The average expenditure per household in Bulgaria rose 13% year-on-year to 1,382 levs ($832.0/706.7 euro) in the third quarter of 2017, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Thursday.
Expenditure on food accounted for 30.1% of total household spending during the July-September period, while expenditure on housing constituted 17.7% of the total, NSI said in a statement.
Expenditure on food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by an annual 7.6% to 416 levs during the period under review.
Housing expenditure grew 20.3% on the year to 245 levs.
