April 29 (SeeNews) - Registrations of new commercial vehicles in Bulgaria increased by an annual 7.2% to 2,209 in the first quarter, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, ACEA, said on Thursday.
Registrations of new light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes went up 7% on the year to 1,453 in the January-March period, ACEA said in a statement, citing provisional data.
Registrations of new heavy commercial vehicles of over 16 tonnes rose 14.7% to 716 in the review period.
New commercial vehicle registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, increased by 21.6% year-on-year to 501,703 in the first quarter. In EU12, which encompasses member states that have joined the EU since 2004, registrations were 23.6% higher at 61,061.
