Advertise BG was founded in the UK in 2006 where it managed search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns for British small and medium businesses before establishing a presence in the Bulgarian market in 2007. The company now serves over 100 local and international clients, including online gaming company 8888, furniture retailer Mebeli Videnov and sports retailer Sport Depot.
The acquisition will complement Publicis Groupe's digital capabilities in e-commerce and digital data services strengthening the group's role in the digital marketing transformation in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), according to Publicis Groupe CEO for CEE, Tomas Lauko.
Advertise BG founder Alexander Georgiev will take the role of director for digital transformation and will take a seat on Publicis Groupe Bulgaria's board.
Publicis Groupe Bulgaria operates through nine local subsidiaries - Saatchi&Saatchi, Leo Burnett, Red Lion, Digitas, MSL, Publicis Dialog, Brandworks, Zenith and Starcom. Last year, the group added IT developers to its team to work on creating digital marketing platforms for global Publicis clients.
