September 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Power Distribution North, a unit of Czech power utility Energo-Pro, invested over 400,000 levs ($240,000/205,000 euro) in the reconstruction of the power grid in the northeastern region of Varna, the company said on Thursday.
Within the project, the company spent 250,000 levs to overhaul its low voltage air network, replacing over 18 km of conductor wire and a hundred reinforced concrete pillars, it said in a press release published on its website.
Over 150,000 levs were allocated to replacing medium voltage cable lines in the towns of Provadia and Dalgopol.
The upgrades will enhance the safety of power supply to thousands of customers.
