January 13 (SeeNews) - The operator of Bulgaria's Black Sea port of Varna said it has awarded a 6 million levs ($3.5 million/3.1 million euro) contract for electricity works to local companies Eltes and T&D Engineering.
Under the terms of the deal signed on December 15, the companies are to provide construction, rehabilitation and overhaul of power transmission and distribution networks, as well as their devices, Port Varna said in a notice on Wednesday.
The tender for awarding the contract attracted offers from five candidates. The bids were ranked solely based on price.
Port Varna is equipped to handle all types of cargo, including containers, general cargo, dry and liquid bulks. The port provides services to passenger and cruise ships, as well as scientific vessels.
