May 13 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian town of Pomorie, on the Black Sea coast, has received a 7.5 million levs ($4.3 million/3.8 million euro) government grant for the second stage of modernisation of its fishing port, the municipal council said.
The project is funded by the Maritime and Fisheries Programme 2014-2020, the municipal council said in a statement earlier this month.
"The filling station that we plan to build at the fishing port will be of the highest priority because it will enable boats to get fueled on the spot, saving a lot of time for the workers", Pomorie mayor Ivan Aleksiev said in the statement.
The fishing port's upgrade will include the construction of a repair station for fishing boats, floating bridges as well as the installation of two stationary cranes.
Works on the project are expected to begin after the end of Summer 2019 season.
