March 23 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Plovdiv municipality said on Monday that it has signed a 58.7 million levs ($33.9 million/30 million euro) contract for reconstruction and modernisation of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) with a local tie-up.
The tie-up comprises GBS-Plovdiv, Glavbolgarstroy and EKO-proekt 2000, the municipality said in a notice.
According to registry agency data, GBS-Plovdiv and Glavbolgarstroy control stakes of 49% each, while EKO-proekt 2000 owns 2% interest.
The contract was signed on February 26, as the tender was suspended on several occasions due to complaints filed with the country's competition regulator.
The tie-up was picked as winner of the tender in June 2019, as it was the only candidate allowed to the final round of the tender and its bid received the maximum score of 100 points.
Four other candidates - local company Building Development Holding and tie-ups comprising Interprom and Akva Ekoproekt System; ISA 2000, Kalistratov Group and Hydrostroy; and Spanish-based Marko Obra Group and GP Group - did not make it to the final stage for failing to provide the required technical information.
