October 30 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's sole nuclear power plant (NPP) Kozloduy said that it is planning to sign a 5.86 million levs ($3.3 million/3.0 million euro) contract with local tie-up Drone Defence for the supply and installation of an aerial threats protection system.
The Drone Defence tie-up is the sole license holder for such a system in the country, so the power plant operator will hold direct talks with the tie-up instead of launching an open public procurement procedure, NPP Kozloduy said in a notice on Tuesday.
According to registry agency data, local Cool and Fresh 2015 holds 99.98% interest in the tie-up. Elitecom 95 and Sintis Technology own stakes of 0.01% each.
Cool and Fresh 2015 is fully owned by private individual Rumen Shilev, according to commercial register data. In 2018, the company booked revenue of just 7,000 levs, up from 3,000 levs in 2017.
NPP Kozloduy has two functioning units of 1,000 MW each.
