November 29 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's nuclear power plant (NPP) Kozloduy said that it has signed a 14.4 million levs ($8.1 million/7.4 million euro) contract for the purchase of nuclear fuel shipping casks with local company Energeticheska Tehnika.
Energeticheska Tehnika submitted the sole offer in the procedure for awarding the contract, the power plant operator said in a statement.
The deal was inked on November 25.
According to commercial register data, Energeticheska Tehnika is 50/50 owned by private individuals Vyacheslav Alexandrov and Dmitry Alexandrov.
NPP Kozloduy has two functioning reactors of 1,000 MW each.
