August 10 (SeeNews) - The deposits of Bulgaria's non-government sector increased by an annual 9.6% in June, reaching 106.1 billion levs ($56 billion/54.2 billion euro), after growing by 9.7% in May, the central bank said.
At the end of June, the value of non-government deposits was equivalent to 68.6% of Bulgaria's estimated 2022 gross domestic product (GDP), the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said in its latest monthly statement on money supply.
Household deposits added 6% on the year in June to reach 67.6 billion levs.
At some 34.8 billion levs or 22.5% of the estimated GDP, deposits of non-financial corporations at the end of June were 18.6% higher year-on-year, while deposits of financial corporations inched down 0.6% to 3.61 billion levs, after adding 19.2% in May.
