January 25 (SeeNews) - The deposits of Bulgaria's non-government sector grew by 14.3% year-on-year in December to some 116.5 billion levs ($64.68 billion/59.57 billion euro), after adding 13.4% in November, the central bank said on Wednesday.
At the end of last month, the value of non-government deposits was equivalent to 75.4% of Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP) projected for 2022, the Bulgarian National Bank said in a monthly monetary statistics report.
Household deposits were 8.3% higher on the year at 72 billion levs in December, whereas household loans rose by 14.6%.
Deposits of non-financial corporations amounted to 40.2 billion levs at the end of 2022, equivalent to 26% of the projected GDP. They recorded an annual jump of 26.6% in December, following an increase of 26.5% in November.
