February 25 (SeeNews) - Deposits of Bulgaria's non-government sector rose by an annual 7.9% to 84.1 billion levs ($46.6 billion/43 billion euro) at the end of January, up from a 9.7% growth rate at the end of December, the central bank, BNB, said on Tuesday.
At the end of January, the value of deposits was equal to 66.2% of Bulgaria's estimated 2020 gross domestic product, BNB said in a statement.
Deposits of households increased by an annual 8.0% to 55.8 billion levs at the end of January.
Deposits of non-financial corporations totalled 25.8 billion levs, up by 11.8% year-on-year, while deposits of financial corporations fell 21.8% to 2.6 billion levs.
