SOFIA (Bulgaria), October 23 (SeeNews) - Loans to Bulgaria's non-government sector increased by an annual 7.1% to 60.7 billion levs ($34.5 billion/31.0 billion euro) at the end of September, following an annual rise of 6.0% at the end of August, the central bank, BNB, said on Tuesday.
The loans at the end of September were equal to 52.5% of Bulgaria's forecast gross domestic product in 2019, BNB said in a statement.
Loans to non-financial corporations amounted to 34.1 billion levs at the end of September, up by 4.8% year-on-year.
Loans to households rose by an annual 9.1% to 23.4 billion levs, while loans to non-financial corporations totalled 3.2 billion levs, up 17.9% on the year.
