SOFIA (Bulgaria), May 5 (SeeNews) – New passenger hybrid electric car registrations in Bulgaria rose to 239 in the first quarter of 2017, from 61 in the like period of 2016, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, ACEA, said.
There were two plug-in hybrid electric vehicles registrations in Bulgaria in the January-March period, up from one registered in the corresponding period of 2016, ACEA said in a press release on Thursday.

Out of all 23 EU member states for which data was available, Bulgaria was the only country with no battery electric vehicles registered in the review period.
Data for other alternative fuel vehicles registered in Bulgaria was not available.
In the EU, total electric chargeable vehicle registrations rose by an annual 29.9% to 47,196 in the first quarter of 2017. Hybrid electric vehicle registrations rose 61.2% year-on-year to 111,006 in the review period.
