April 20 (SeeNews) - New passenger car registrations in Bulgaria grew 25.2% on the year in March, reaching 2,697, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) said on Wednesday.
In the first quarter of 2022, registrations of new passenger cars in Bulgaria were up 19.5% to 6,674, compared to the same time in 2020, ACEA said in a statement.

The data for Bulgaria contrasted with a continued decline in new passenger car registrations in the European Union last month. The number of new cars sold in the bloc dropped 20.5% to 844,187 in March.
Compared to the first quarter of last year, there were 12.3% fewer new passenger cars, or some 2.24 million, registered in the EU as a whole between January and March.
"The ongoing supply chain disruptions, further exacerbated by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, negatively affected car production," ACEA said.
