March 22 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] said that it experienced an emergency shutdown at its nitric acid unit late on March 21.
As a result, the company has suspended production at its ammonium nitrate and turbo-generator station units, due to their technological interdependence, Neochim said in a bourse filing on Tuesday.
The resumption of production depends on solving the issue at the nitric acid plant, the company added.
Neochim has faced several manufacturing disruptions in recent months. Last month, it said that it had resumed operations at its ammonia manufacturing unit, after it solved technical issues reported on January 10 and January 23.
As of 1010 CET on Wednesday, shares in Neochim traded 3.05% lower at 38.20 levs ($21.05/19.53 euro) on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
