November 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian fertiliser producer Neochim [BUL:NEOH] stopped operations at its unit for production of ammonia due to a technical glitch, the company, which is currently also facing a manufacturing issue at its nitric acid unit, said.
Neochim detected an unexpected failure in the refrigeration installation in the ammonia unit, it said in a bourse filing on Wednesday.
As the installation cannot be disconnected and repaired while the unit is in operation, production has been suspended, Neochim added.
The company recently discontinued operations at its nitric acid unit over a technical problem. Earlier on Wednesday, Neochim said it expects to resume nitric acid production by November 20.
As at CET 0950 on Thursday, shares in Neochim traded 2.91% lower at 40 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
