March 8 (SeeNews) - The Bulgarian government said that state-owned power utility Natsionalna Elektricheska Kompania (NEK) will sell technical equipment to state-owned coal mining company Mini Maritsa Iztok.
The deal relates to technical equipment for railway transport with a market value of 1.25 million levs ($674,364/639,115 euro) as of November 10, the government said in a statement.
By purchasing the assets, Mini Maritsa Iztok seeks to secure its production process which is related to energy fuel deliveries via railway transport.
The sale will be conducted via direct negotiations.
Both NEK and Mini Maritsa Iztok are subsidiaries of state-owned Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH).
