January 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian battery manufacturer Monbat [BUL:MONB] said on Thursday that it will repay some 5.6 million euro ($6.02 million) of the principal of a 28 million euro bond.
Bondholders registered with the Central Depository as of January 17 will have the right to repayment of 200 euro per bond, the company said in a bourse filing.

The repayment, which will reduce the bond's outstanding principal to 22.4 million euro, will be made along with the semi-annual coupon payment on January 20. The bond has a coupon rate equal to six-month EURIBOR plus 3%.
The seven-year bond, issued in 2018, has a call option under which Monbat can redeem the residual outstanding part of the issue on the 60th month after issuance at 101% of the current outstanding principal amount.
