May 25 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian battery manufacturer Monbat [BUL:MONB] said that it will seek approval from its shareholders to pay out a total of 4 million levs ($2.2 million/2 million euro) in dividend for last year.
The company intends to distribute as dividend its net profit of some 1.2 million levs reported for 2022, along with 2.8 million levs of undistributed profit from previous years, Monbat said in a bourse filing on Wednesday. The battery maker did not disclose what the dividend per share will amount to.

The proposal will be put to the vote at a general meeting of shareholders on June 29.
Monbat paid out a gross dividend of 5.5 million levs, or 0.141 levs per share, for 2021, according to previously disclosed information.
As of 1315 CET on Thursday, shares in Monbat traded 2.27% lower at 4.30 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
