April 14 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's ministry of defence said on Tuesday it has awarded a 5.2 million levs ($2.9 million/2.7 million euro) construction works contract to a local consortium led by Patstroy-Varna.
The deal was signed on April 13, the ministry said in a notice.
The awarded tie-up will be responsible for the construction of a 10,000 sq m military site, including space for cargo and ground support equipment in Bezmer airbase near the city of Yambol, in the country's southeast.
According to registry agency data, the consortium comprises Patstroy-Varna with 55% participation and Perfect VSD company with 45%.
The public procurement procedure for awarding the contract has attracted eight offers. Quality criteria carried 70% weight in the overall ranking of the offers.
