February 14 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian company Marlin is investing 50 million levs ($27.5 million/25.6 million euro) in the construction of port infrastructure and grain storage facilities near the Danube River city of Silistra, in northeastern Bulgaria, the municipal government said.
Marlin will develop a silo with a capacity of 200,000 tonnes as well as a port with up to six berths allowing for up to 7,000t to be loaded or unloaded per day, the municipality said in a statement last week.

The Silistra-based company has already received approval for its Port Marlin investment project and is entitled to state funding for the construction of technical, communication and water infrastructure.
The project, which received environmental approval in 2020 and is being completed in two stages until 2024, will facilitate the transport of goods on the Danube, according to investment proposal documents published on the website of the Ruse environmental inspectorate.
