August 20 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian thermal power plant (TPP) Maritsa 3 [BUL:6TM] said on Tuesday its first-half consolidated net profit was little changed on an annual comparison basis at 6.3 million levs ($3.6 million/3.2 million euro).
Operating expenses jumped to 10.9 million levs in the first six months of the year from 3.4 million levs in the corresponding period of 2018, figures from Maritsa 3 TPP's interim financial statement showed.
TPP Maritsa 3's other expenses, including impairment of assets as well as provisions, amounted to 7.3 million levs in the review period, up from just 30,000 levs the year before.
The plant's total operating revenue rose to 17.3 million levs in the January-June period of 2019, from 9.7 million levs in the prior-year period.
TPP Maritsa 3 is located in the town of Dimitrovgrad, in southern Bulgaria.
