November 9 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Kozloduy nuclear power plant said it has awarded a 6.4 million levs ($3.8 million/3.3 million euro) deal for an overhaul and maintenance of three computer systems used for control and monitoring to local automation company EnergoService following a tender procedure.
The company will be responsible for technical maintenance, system hardware and software upgrade, as well as delivery of spare parts and modules for the plant's Ovation information-management computer system, Ovation control and management system and radiation monitoring systems, the contracting authority said in a notice on Friday.
The deal was signed on November 1. EnergoService submitted the sole bid in the public tender.
Founded in 2005, EnergoService signed a framework agreement for upgrade and maintenance of the Ovation information systems and the radiation control systems of Kozloduy NPP in 2006. Since then, it has cooperated with US-based Westinghouse Electric Company and nuclear technology company APANTEC in optimising those systems.
