March 6 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian hotel operator Sv. Sv. Konstantin i Elena Holding [BUL:SKEH] said that it swung to a consolidated net loss of some 2 million levs ($1.08 million/1.02 million euro) last year from a net profit of 1.4 million levs in 2021.
The company's total revenue rose to 30.6 million levs in 2022 from 27.8 million levs a year earlier, Sv. Sv. Konstantin i Elena Holding said in an annual financial statement last week. Sales of services generated a revenue of 26.1 million levs, up by 16% on the year.
Operating expenses jumped to 32.8 million levs last year from 26 million levs in 2021, largely due to a 69% surge in costs for materials and a 25% jump in expenses for remuneration.
In September, Sv. Sv. Konstantin i Elena Holding announced that the capital of its subsidiary Aqua Area had been increased by 307,000 levs to 312,000 levs, with the hotel operator contributing 153,500 levs.
Shares in Sv. Sv. Konstantin i Elena Holding last traded at 22.40 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
