May 15 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's average monthly jobless rate fell to 6.4% in April, 1.2 percentage points lower than in the same month of 2017 and the lowest since December 2008, the government's employment agency said on Tuesday.
Month-on-month the jobless rate fell by 0.4 percentage points in April, the company said in a statement.
There were 19,927 unemployed people newly-registered with labour offices countrywide in April.
The number of people who found a job in April totalled 22,049. There were 24,619 registered job vacancies in April. The highest share of vacancies was registered in the hospitality sector, 28.2% of the total.
