October 15 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's registered unemployment rate fell to a fresh record low of 4.7% in September, from 4.9% in the previous month, the Employment Agency said on Friday.
On an annual comparison basis, the jobless rate fell by 2.5 percentage points, the government agency said in a statement.
A total of 18,531 unemployed people found a job with the help of labour offices in the month under review, while 21,737 people registered as unemployed.
At the end of September, there were 154,936 registered unemployed people - 5,771 less compared to August 2021 and 34.4% less than in September 2020.
There were 17,196 job vacancies registered with labour offices in September, 5.7% more on a monthly comparison basis and 18.4% less year-on-year.
