August 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s registered unemployment rate edged down by 0.4 percentage points month-on-month to 7.9% in July, the government's employment agency said on Monday.
On an annual comparison basis, the registered unemployment rate rose by 2.6 pp in the month under review, the employment agency said in a statement.
As many as 27,423 unemployed people found a job in July, the agency noted. At the end of July, there were 258,553 registered unemployed people, or 14,814 less compared to the previous month.
The number of people newly-registered with labour offices was 28,064 in July, the agency said.
Registered job vacancies in July were 16,349, most of them in the manufacturing sector - 26.8% of the total.
