SOFIA (Bulgaria), December 15 (SeeNews) – Bulgaria’s jobless rate increased by 0.2 percentage points month-on-month to 6.9% in November, the government's employment agency said on Friday.
Year-on-year, Bulgaria's unemployment rate fell by 1.0 percentage point in November, the employment agency said in a statement.
The number of unemployed people registered with labour offices countrywide fell by an annual 11.8% to 227,532 as at end-November.
The number of people who found a job in November totalled 17,028. There were 12,045 registered job vacancies in November. The highest number of vacancies was registered in manufacturing – 3,548.
Bulgaria, a nation of some 7.1 million, had an economically active population of 4.3 million as at end-2016, according to the country's statistical office, NSI.
