April 13 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s jobless rate fell slightly to 8% in March, from 8.2% the month before, the government's employment agency said on Thursday.
The number of unemployed people, registered with the labour offices countrywide as at end-March fell by an annual 19.3% to 261,771, the employment agency said in a statement.
The number of people who found a job in March totalled 23,262.
There were 22,592 registered job vacancies in March. The highest number of vacancies was registered in manufacturing – 4,774.
Bulgaria, a nation of some 7.1 million, had an active population of 4.3 million as at end-2016, according to the country's statistical office NSI.
