June 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s registered jobless rate fell by 0.3 percentage points month-on-month to 5.3% in May, the government's Employment Agency said on Monday.
Compared to May 2018, Bulgaria’s jobless rate was 0.8 pp lower, the Employment Agency said in a statement.
A total of 175,399 people were registered as unemployed with labour offices in May, of which 18,897 newly-registered during the month.
The number of people who found a job in the fifth month of the year totalled 22,533.
There were 18,542 registered job vacancies in May. The highest share of vacancies was registered in the manufacturing sector, 27.6% of the total.
