November 12 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's trade deficit fell to 2.96 billion levs ($1.7 billion/1.5 billion euro) in the first nine months of 2019, from 4.80 billion levs in the like period of last year, the statistical office, NSI, said on Tuesday.
Exports (FOB) increased 3.2% year-on-year in the period under review, reaching 42.6 billion levs, while imports (CIF) fell 1.1% to 45.6 billion levs, NSI said in a statement.
In September alone, Bulgaria's exports decreased by 1.1% on the year to 4.7 billion levs, while imports fell by 6.9% to 4.8 billion levs.
