November 8 (SeeNews) - New passenger hybrid electric car registrations in Bulgaria rose to 783 in the nine months through September from 322 in the same period last year, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, ACEA, said on Wednesday.
In the third quarter alone, new passenger hybrid electric car registrations rose by annual 33% to 195, ACEA said in a press release.

New plug-in hybrid electric vehicles registrations in Bulgaria increased sharply to 35 in the January-September period of 2017 from four in the like period of last year. In the third quarter alone, there were 22 new hybrid electric vehicles registrations in Bulgaria, up from two in the comparable period of 2016.
Out of all 23 EU member states for which data was available, Bulgaria was the only country with no battery electric vehicles registered in the review period.
Data for other alternative fuel vehicles registered in Bulgaria was not available.
