September 24 (SeeNews) - Registrations of new commercial vehicles in Bulgaria increased by an annual 55.9% to 6,944 units in the first eight months of 2021, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, ACEA, said on Friday.
Registrations of new light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes rose 55.7% on the year to 4,783 units in the first eight months of 2021, ACEA said in a statement, citing provisional data.

Registrations of new medium and heavy commercial vehicles of over 3.5 tonnes jumped 63.5% to 2,053 units in the review period.
New commercial vehicle registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, increased by 24% year-on-year to nearly 1.3 million units in the eight months through August. In EU12, which encompasses member states that have joined the EU since 2004, registrations were 40.3% higher at 170,255.
ACEA published the data for the month of August simultaneously with data for July.
In the January-July period of this year, registrations of new commercial vehicles in Bulgaria rose by 55% on the year to 6,185 units. Registrations of new light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes too increased by 55.4% on the year to 4,220 in the first seven months of 2021.
At the same time, registrations of new medium and heavy commercial vehicles of over 3.5 tonnes rose sharply by 62% to 1,874 in the review period.
New commercial vehicle registrations in the EU, excluding Malta, increased by 28% year-on-year to some 1.2 million units in the seven months through July. In EU12, which encompasses member states that have joined the EU since 2004, registrations were 42.8% higher at 151,047.
