August 2 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's overall industrial producer price index (PPI) went up by 41.4% on the year in June, after rising 38.2% in May, the statistics office said.
On a monthly comparison basis, the PPI index rose by 3.4% in June, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a monthly report on Friday.
The annual growth in producer prices on the domestic market in the sixth month of the year was 49.3%. At the same time, producer prices on the non-domestic market rose in June by 29.6% year-on-year and by 5.1% compared to May.
Prices increased the most, by 83.2% year-on-year, in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply. Manufacturing was costlier by an annual 29.9% while the mining and quarrying industry saw an 18.7% increase in producer prices, NSI data showed.
