August 10 (SeeNews) - Industrial production in Bulgaria grew by 17.4% year-on-year in June, following a revised annual increase of 20.5% in May, the statistics office said on Wednesday, citing preliminary data.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly comparison basis, industrial output edged down 0.8% in the sixth month of 2022 after adding 1.4% in May, the National Statistical Office (NSI) said in a monthly report.
The largest annual growth rate among the index components was recorded in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector, where production increased 39.2%, followed by the output of the manufacturing industry, which rose 16.1% following a revised 21.5% jump in May.
On a monthly comparison basis, the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector was the only one out of the three major categories to post an increase, of 13.9%.
