June 22 (SeeNews) - Hourly labour costs in Bulgaria increased by 10.2% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2020, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Monday, citing preliminary data.
Salary costs rose by an annual 10.2% in the January-March period of 2020, while other labour costs increased 10.3% on the year, NSI said in a statement.
Hourly labour costs rose the most in the services sector - by 9.2%. Industry and construction followed with increases in labour costs of 9% and 8.1%, respectively.
In terms of economic activities, the highest growth rate, of 25.9%, was recorded in the education sector.
