July 26 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian machine engineering company Hydraulic Elements and Systems (HES) [BUL:4HE] said that its net profit edged up to 3.1 million levs ($1.8 million/1.6 million euro) in the first half of 2019 from 3.0 million levs in the same period of 2018.
HES' revenue rose to 35.1 million levs in the January-June period of 2019 from 32.6 million levs in the comparable period of last year, the company said in an interim financial statement.
The company's expenses increased to 31.7 million levs in the review period from 29.3 million levs the year before, as expenses for materials grew to 18.6 million levs from 17.1 million levs.
HES' assets amounted to 22.4 million levs at the end of June, slightly down from 22.9 million levs a year earlier.
HES shares closed 1.22% higher at 4.96 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Friday.
