September 4 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian bottle cap manufacturer Herti [BUL:HTV] said that its consolidated net profit rose to 447,000 levs ($252,000/229,000 euro) in the first half of 2019 from 279,000 levs in the same period of 2018.
Herti's operating revenue increased to 22.6 million levs in the January-June period of 2019 from 20.4 million levs in the comparable period of last year, the company said in an interim financial statement on Monday.
Sales revenue grew to 20.3 million levs in the review period from 18.0 million levs the year before.
The company's operating expenses amounted to 22.3 million levs in the first six months of the year, up from 20.6 million levs in the corresponding period of 2018. The rise was mainly due to expenses for materials, which rose to 13.3 million levs from 12.3 million levs.
Established in 1993, Herti produces over 1 billion bottle caps per year.
