February 27 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian bottle cap manufacturer Herti [BUL:HERT] said on Monday that its consolidated net profit jumped to 6.9 million levs ($3.73 million/3.53 million euro) last year from 1.6 million levs in 2021, due to higher revenue.
Herti's revenue went up to 96.5 million levs in 2022 from 58.2 million levs a year earlier, the company said in its 2022 annual financial statement. Sales in the review period added 63% to 93.8 million levs.
The company's operating expenses expanded to 89.3 million levs from 56.4 million levs, as costs for materials marked a 59% annual increase to 56.8 million levs.
Herti said that in September it acquired full control over its Romanian unit Herti Group International by buying the remaining 51% stake it did not own. The company did not disclose the value of the transaction.
Shares in Herti last traded at 2.48 levs on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data show.
