January 25 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's government said on Wednesday that it allowed the transfer of a concession for vermiculite field Livade in western Bulgaria to local mining company Eurover from sector player Helix.
At the same time, the government decided to extend the term of the concession contract by 30 years, it said in a statement.
The extension was requested by the concessionaire due to remaining deposits in the field.
The concession contract was concluded in 2007 for a period of 20 years.
Livade is located near the village of Belitsa in the Ihtiman municipality. Vermiculite, the mineral extracted from the field, is widely used in construction, industry and agriculture.
